Four beautifully appointed farm cottages nestled on the banks of the Tumut River.  Ribbonwood Cottages offer a unique experience. Not only do we provide great accommodation, our cottage is situated on a 100 acre working farm. Explore the Tumut River frontage, perfect for trout fishing, canoeing and boating.

The property also boasts it's own 3 acre island which opens up another 1km of river frontage for fishing, platypus watching or just exploring the island and it's amazing birdlife.  This historic property was the site of the one of the two original settlements of Tumut and was where the first bridge over the Tumut River was built and is also home to the largest English Elm in the Southern Hemisphere.

Six generations of local knowledge ensures your stay will be informed and welcoming. Your host Brett also has a life time experience fishing the local rivers, creeks and dams and offers free fishing tuition to all guests.

Three private self contained cottages overlooking the Goobarragandra River in Tumut make Elm Cottage a magical destination for a relaxing holiday. Just 4 hours drive from Sydney, Elm Cottage is set on 62 acres and is a pet friendly property which takes you away from city life and helps you to slow down and enjoy nature at its own pace.

Elm Cottage is your home away from home. Enjoy a drink on the balcony and watch sheep and cows meander past, take a stroll along the two miles of river bank, fish for trout, swim at our private sandy beach, and in the evening, with crystal clear skies, enjoy some stargazing, then curl up to sleep to the sounds of the river below.

Whether you're on your honeymoon, celebrating a special occasion, meeting up with family and friends on a fishing or skiing holiday or just looking for an unforgettable spot to relax and recharge your batteries, then Elm Cottage is for you.

For those special occasions, Elm Cottage will organise fishing trips, scenic tours, ultra light flights, canoe trips, breakfast or lunch baskets or for that someone special a floral arrangement or hamper full of local produce and wines.
