Heritage and Nature

The Heritage trail takes in historic spots and the museums in Tumut, Adelong and Batlow. Once in Batlow continue out towards Tumbarumba and experience the serenity of the Sugar Pine Walk.  Drive further towards Tumbarumba or down the forest road and you could well be rewarded with the sight of a brumby. Don't forget to buy some fresh fruit on your way back down the hill to Tumut at one of the many roadside stalls.

On the second day drive out to Talbingo on the Snowy Mountains Highway.  This is a scenic road following the edge of Blowering Dam.  There is abundant wildlife so caution is needed especially early and late in the day.  At Talbingo visit the Snowy Hydro Scheme Visitor centre then take some supplies back across the highway to picnic at Jounama Creek.  This is an idyllic spot to camp, swim, fish, walk or just relax.
